Biko Technologies launch NETROOMZ, to drive incremental direct bookings for hotels.

SYDNEY – Biko Technologies, an Australian company providing IT services to the global hospitality industry, has launched a unique web booking engine called Netroomz which is designed for hotels and hotel chains to increase their direct online reservations.

“Netroomz equips independent hotels and small to medium chains with a sophisticated tool to provide instant confirmation to their clients, direct from their own website” said Julian Bish, Biko Technologies’ Managing Director.

Netroomz enables customers to easily compare several hotels in a chain by geographic location, including rates and availability across a range of room types, packages and dates. According to Bish this is one of the key differentiators of the Netroomz product.

“We put ourselves in the customers’ shoes, and we concluded that what customers want is a fast and simple way to browse what is on offer, and can be confirmed – right now” said Bish.

Netroomz also offers significant benefits for hotels. “Managing numerous distribution channels is one of the most pressing issues facing the global hotel industry. Netroomz provides a tool to offer customers the option of booking direct, quickly and easily. This is the most cost-effective method of distribution for hotels and enables hotels to establish direct online relationships with their guests using email, rather than surrendering that relationship to intermediaries such as third party booking websites” said Bish.

As a launch client of Netroomz, Pacific International Hotels’ Director of Operations John Hiscox is equally enthusiastic. “We have experienced a stark increase in direct online bookings throughout our hotels since we implemented Netroomz, and it is continuing to grow” he said.

“Our customers are able to easily compare the rates and packages on offer at any of our 16 hotels, and confirm a reservation within seconds. Feedback from our guests and from our operations staff has been extremely positive” said Hiscox.

Netroomz has been developed using a range of Microsoft technologies. Biko participate in Microsoft’s Empower program for Independent Software Vendors.  According to Biko Technologies’ Director of Technology, Greg Kowalski, “Using Microsoft’s technologies enabled us to develop and deploy the system in record time. Furthermore it provides an excellent foundation as we enhance and adapt the system to cater to the rapidly changing requirements of the global hospitality industry.”

Biko was founded in 2000 and is located in North Ryde, Sydney. Hyatt International Corporation, Pacific International Hotels, Travelodge Hotels, View Hotels, Mirvac Hotels and Duxton Hotels International are among its hotel client base.
